Ready for Sunday Gal5.13-26

I had a lot of fun getting ready for this passage this week. There are some great Greek words that illuminate further the text. You can see the raw data on my previous post or get to the shorter version in the lesson.

I’ve attached two lessons for this passage. The first lesson in the one we’re using in my ABF. The second is the one I’ll be teaching from in our Galatians Groups.

For my ABF this Sunday, I’ll have us read through the text a couple times and work at finding some answers. We’ll look at what we learn from repeated words, what the struggle is and what our wish list for the fruit of the Spirit. I’m interested to see how a large group works through it. Here’s the ABF lesson. Galatins 5-13 Summit

If you’re looking for our small group curriculum for this passage check it out here. You’ll find an explanation of the 5 ways our relationship with the Spirit is described. Its very cool.

But its more important than cool. This issue of how we relate to the Spirit is the Apostle Paul’s answer for how we are to live. He’s been saying we can’t do it through the law for 3 and a half chapters. Now he gives us the answer. My friend John Nelson added a nice complementary passage that helps explain this life of fruitfulness. see John 15:1-5.  Galatians 5_13-26
